Hot water from the central heating network flows through the space between the external jacket and tank. Such structure of the exchanger allows very rapid heating of water in the whole tank as heat is given up by the central heating water almost on the entire surface of the tank. In the versions with the heater, it is possible to heat water in the tank by means of a thermostat controlled electric heater.
